An exciting contract opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher skilled in co-teaching and inclusion support. This role centers on teaching and supporting students in a vibrant middle school near Rossville, GA, for the current and upcoming academic years through May 2027. You’ll work with sixth through eighth graders in inclusive settings, collaborating with general education teachers and creating positive learning environments for students with varying needs—without toileting or diapering duties.

What You'll Bring:

• Current and active GaPSC Special Education Consultative P-12 Teaching Endorsement
• Experience working in inclusive or co-taught classroom environments
• Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 10-12 students per grade, adapting flexibly to enrollment changes
• Understanding of student eligibilities such as Autism, OHI, SLD, MID, EBD
• Skill in collaborating with general educators and implementing individualized behavior plans as needed
• Strong communication, organization, and a team-oriented mindset

Key Responsibilities:

• Co-teach Math and Science for 6th grade, ELA and Science for 7th and 8th grades
• Support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs within inclusion and co-teaching frameworks
• Collaborate on lesson planning, differentiation, and assistive strategies to foster student success
• Document progress, attend meetings, and contribute to the development and implementation of IEPs
• Foster positive relationships with students, families, and staff to ensure an inclusive and supportive educational atmosphere

Working Details:

• Full-time schedule: 7:45am to 3:45pm, 37.5 to 40 hours per week
• School dates running ASAP through May 21st, 2027
• Serve diverse groups of middle school students, with a caseload tailored to maintain instructional quality and relationships
