Accounting Manager/Supervisor

DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to lead core accounting operations and provide reliable financial insight for business decision-making in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois. This position oversees the accuracy of reporting, strengthens department processes, and supports leadership with forward-looking financial guidance. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge along with the ability to improve workflows and guide team performance.Responsibilities:• Direct daily accounting activities and refine departmental procedures to improve accuracy, efficiency, and internal controls.• Prepare, review, and interpret financial reports to ensure leadership has clear visibility into organizational performance.• Advise company leaders on financial trends, risks, and planning considerations that support sound business decisions.• Supervise accounting staff, provide performance feedback, and help develop a productive and accountable team environment.• Build forecasts and planning models to anticipate upcoming financial requirements and operational needs.• Monitor revenue and expenses closely to maintain accurate records and support budget oversight.• Lead month-end closing activities, including review of journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger accuracy.• Identify opportunities to automate recurring accounting tasks in order to streamline processes and reduce manual effort.• Support audit readiness by maintaining organized documentation and coordinating financial statement audit activities.RequirementsKeys• Accounting or Finance Degree• Experience managing accounting operations in a supervisory or leadership capacity.• Strong knowledge of month-end close procedures, general ledger management, and journal entry review.• Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and supporting schedules with a high degree of accuracy.• Hands-on experience with account reconciliations and maintaining clean, well-documented financial records.• Familiarity with financial statement audits and the ability to support auditors with required documentation.• Demonstrated ability to identify process gaps and implement improvements within an accounting function.• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills for partnering with both accounting staff and executive leadership.Benefits• Medical/Dental/Vision• 401KJob typePerm
