Project Manager, Operations

Role Description

Plan, execute, and manage technical projects from initiation to completion.

• Leverage cross-functional knowledge and capability to identify key deliverables and effectively prioritize and manage risk, proactively escalating decisions in a timely fashion to support overall delivery.
• Establish requirements with customers and key stakeholders, thoroughly understanding the nature of the business requirements for each project.
• Make important and strategic decisions which may significantly impact the overall project deliverables to the customer.
• Establish roles, responsibilities, and competencies required for the project.
• Build and manage an effective project team, including defining and obtaining required resources, utilizing internal and external personnel resources within a matrix organization.
• Develop an overall project plan that may include:
  • Project Charter
  • Risk assessments
  • Timeline and milestones
  • Financial projections
  • Performance measures
  • Communication and change management plans
• Establish organization and governance structures to successfully deliver project objectives.
• Address resource constraints, dependencies, and timing challenges while syncing efforts across teams.
• Define delivery milestones and track progress, communicating issues, risks, and key decision timelines to sponsors and stakeholders.
• Escalate decisions and unresolved issues to appropriate parties.
• Own a project through predefined completion criteria.
• Communicate project goals, objectives, key status information, and overall impact of the project effectively with project team members, customers, and key stakeholders.
• Conduct lessons learned for projects and share and apply learnings to future initiatives.
• Travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in technical project management, IT project delivery, or technical leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• PMP Certification, preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Outstanding time management and organization skills.
• Adept in problem-solving, facilitating decision making, and resolving conflict.
