Survey CAD Technician

Job Description Job Description Survey Technician (Experienced) \ We are seeking an experienced Survey Technician to join our team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of commercial, municipal, and private development projects while collaborating with surveyors, engineers, landscape architects, and other design professionals. This is primarily an office-based position focused on survey production and project support, with occasional field work as needed. Responsibilities Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Preparing survey-related documents including boundary surveys, title surveys, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, plats, easements, right-of-way exhibits, and topographic surveys. Conducting deed, title, and public record research. Preparing legal descriptions (metes and bounds). Performing CAD drafting and mapping. Coordinating survey projects from start to finish. Scheduling and supervising survey crews when appropriate. Reviewing survey deliverables for quality and accuracy. Assisting with project budgeting, scheduling, and client communication. Attending project meetings and occasional site visits. Assisting with proposal preparation, marketing efforts, and other business development activities. Providing technical support to engineering and design teams, including quality control reviews, research, drafting assistance, and project coordination. Performing general administrative and office support tasks as needed. Field Responsibilities While this position is primarily office-based, candidates should be willing and able to assist with field surveying and construction staking when project demands require. Qualifications Experience as a Survey Technician or in a similar surveying role. Proficiency with Civil 3D. Experience with Trimble Business Center is a plus. Experience preparing survey deliverables and legal descriptions. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Willingness to perform occasional field work when needed. Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
