Trillium Professional is seeking a Quality Inspector – PCB / Electronic Assemblies to support a leading aerospace manufacturing client in Newark, CA.

This is an onsite position with occasional travel to the San Carlos, CA site. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity! Pay: $28–$35/hour, depending on experience.

We are seeking a Quality Inspector with experience inspecting Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs) and electronic assemblies in a manufacturing environment. This role will support source inspection activities, ensuring products meet quality, workmanship, and documentation requirements before deployment in advanced aerospace applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform visual inspections of PCBAs and electronic assemblies to IPC-A-610 Class 2 and Class 3 standards
• Inspect solder joints, component placement, cleanliness, markings, conformal coating, and overall workmanship
• Operate and review results from 3D AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) systems
• Conduct digital X-ray inspections of BGA, QFN, and other hidden-joint components
• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections
• Support AS9102 First Article Inspections (FAIs) and related documentation
• Document inspection results, maintain traceability records, and manage nonconformance reports (NCRs)
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve defects and quality issues

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with the chance to join a growing aerospace manufacturing team supporting next-generation aircraft technology. Ideal candidates will bring a strong electronics inspection background, IPC certification, and a commitment to quality excellence.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED
• 3+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing, PCBA assembly, or electronic quality inspection
• IPC-A-610 certification preferred
• Will consider candidates with IPC-620 certification or J-STD-001 certification willing to cross-train into IPC-620 requirements
• Experience inspecting PCBAs and electronic assemblies
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, BOMs, and work instructions
• Experience using inspection tools and documenting quality findings
• Strong attention to detail and understanding of traceability requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active IPC-A-610 CIS or CIT certification
• Hands-on AOI and digital X-ray inspection experience
• Knowledge of J-STD-001 requirements
• AS9102 FAI experience
• Experience with Keyence vision systems, CMMs, Faro Arms, or similar inspection equipment
• ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI)
• Aerospace, defense, medical device, or other regulated manufacturing experience
• Working knowledge of SPC and quality reporting tools
