Speech Language Pathologist - SLP
Ignite the Power of Communication in the Enchanting City of Orlando Your Next Adventure Awaits as a Speech Language Pathologist
Imagine embarking on a career that not only highlights the importance of speech but truly gives voice to purpose. In the vibrant city of Orlando, your impactful role as a Speech Language Pathologist will do more than address communication and swallowing disorders; it will act as a beacon of hope, helping individuals unlock their potential and build lasting connections. From the beaming smiles of toddlers saying their first words to the inspiring stories of seniors rediscovering their independence, your efforts will be transformative.
This position offers you a unique chance to cater to a diverse range of clients across all ages within a dynamic environment that seamlessly merges outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient support. Whether your heart lies in pediatric language development, supporting adults with neurogenic communication disorders, or aiding seniors through cognitive-linguistic rehabilitation, this role provides both fulfillment and flexibility.
Conduct assessments for a diverse patient population comprising pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients utilizing standardized tests and observational methods.
Create tailored treatment plans that meet the short-term goals along with the long-term communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
Deliver engaging one-on-one speech therapy focused on various aspects including language, fluency, voice, and swallowing.
Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including occupational therapists, physical therapists, nurses, physicians, families, and caregivers, to design comprehensive care strategies.
Provide educational resources to patients and their families to facilitate progress beyond clinical settings.
Participate in occasional inpatient evaluations and therapy sessions to ensure consistent care throughout the patient's journey.
Ensure meticulous documentation adhering to state, federal, and organizational regulations.
Stay abreast of the latest advancements in the field via continuous education and peer collaboration.
A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification has not yet been obtained.
State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
ASHA's Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is preferred.
A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.
Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic practices for all age groups, combined with a strong grasp of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
Exceptional interpersonal skills to connect with patients, families, and a wide-ranging interdisciplinary care team.
Ability to tailor therapy strategies to address diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Strong problem-solving skills and clinical acumen.
Comfort in managing electronic medical records and meeting documentation requirements.
Attractive compensation reflecting experience levels.
Flexible scheduling designed to promote work-life harmony and variety in caseload.
Specialization opportunities in pediatrics, adult neuro rehab, or geriatrics.
Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay benefits.
Options for medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
Support for continuing education and professional growth.
A collaborative, team-first atmosphere dedicated to high-quality care and ongoing learning.
In this role, you won't simply offer speech therapy; you will become an integral part of a community-spirited mission aimed at rekindling voices, boosting communication, and cultivating moments of joy through some of the most fundamental human actions: listening and being heard.
Colleagues here treat one another like family, fostering a spirit of collaboration rather than competition. Each patient has their own journey; you will play a vital role in narrating their unique story.
The magic of life in Orlando is an inviting mix of innovation paired with warm hospitality. Surrounded by treasured natural beauty and lively cultural attractions, this region of Florida lures those who seek connection between nature, vibrant arts, and professional growth.
Families find joy at community parks with food trucks serving up local favorites, while adventurers take advantage of numerous hiking trails, kayaking in pristine springs, or enjoying the local farmers markets. Culinary lovers indulge in a thriving dining scene that offers everything from casual bites to exquisite dining experiences crafted by renowned chefs.
The pulse of creativity in Orlando is felt in street art, captured in lively music venues, and celebrated during vibrant festivals that unite diverse communities. Moreover, the practicality of life here extends beyond enjoyment; a favorable tax environment and reasonable living costs form a nurturing ground for flourishing careers in healthcare.
Whether you're a newcomer to the field or a seasoned expert looking to explore new avenues, this area opens doors for personal and professional development.
We are searching for a Speech Language Pathologist driven by the dual drivers of measurable outcomes and compassionate care. You see a reserved child, and you envision an imaginative storyteller waiting to be heard; you listen to a stroke survivor's hesitant speech and recognize their fierce desire for recovery.
You may be a pediatric expert eager to broaden your expertise into adult services or an adult-focused therapist wanting to integrate early intervention strategies into your practice.
Regardless of your specialty, if you're ready to serve with heart and lead with expertise, we can't wait to hear from you.
If you hold the belief that speech goes beyond mere sounds, and therapy goes beyond just exercises; if you cherish building trust as much as reaching goals, and find just as much joy in laughter as you do in language, then this could be your exciting next chapter.
Join a community that celebrates communication, connection, and the bravery it takes to begin anew. Apply today and help others embrace their own voices while sharing yours with our vibrant team.
