- Assess and evaluate patients of all ages utilizing standardized assessments and detailed observational strategies.
- Design custom treatment plans that focus on immediate objectives and long-term communication or swallowing goals.
- Deliver impactful one-on-one speech therapy sessions addressing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing skills.
- Work collaboratively with a network of professionals, including physical and occupational therapists, medical personnel, and family members to ensure cohesive care plans.
- Educate patients and their families to empower progress and support the healing journey beyond therapy sessions.
- Occasionally conduct inpatient evaluations and therapy interventions, ensuring seamless patient transitions throughout their continuum of care.
- Keep thorough and timely documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
- Engage in continuous learning to stay abreast of the latest developments in speech-language pathology.
- A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized university.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship if not already ASHA-certified.
- Valid state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
- Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within a month of hiring.
- Expertise in employing evidence-based treatment modalities for an array of age groups, coupled with a solid grasp of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to customize therapy techniques according to the diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds of clients.
