Staff Accountant - Accounts PayableOn-site in Westlake Village, CA - no remote optionCaldera Medical's Mission - To Improve the Quality of Life for Women!The OpportunityCaldera Medical is looking for a Staff Accountant - Accounts Payable to own the end-to-end Accounts Payable function while supporting month-end close and general accounting activities. This role ensures accurate and timely AP processing, strong internal controls, and reliable financial reporting, and serves as the primary point of contact for vendors and internal stakeholders on AP matters. It's a great fit for someone who takes pride in precision, thrives on recurring deadlines, and wants to help strengthen the financial backbone of a growing medical device company.What You'll DoOwn daily AP processing, including invoice entry, coding review, three-way matching, and payment runsHandle vendor communications and resolve payment, invoice, and statement reconciliation issuesMaintain vendor master data and perform required independent verification of new or changed banking informationManage PO matching and partner with Operations and Procurement to resolve exceptionsPrepare and distribute the weekly AP Aging Register and follow up on aged or unresolved itemsSupport month-end close, including AP cutoff, accruals, journal entries, account reconciliations, and close schedulesPrepare assigned balance-sheet reconciliations and investigate and resolve reconciling itemsMaintain AP procedures, follow and reinforce internal controls, and identify process improvementsSupport audits, compliance requests, and other Finance projects as assignedRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, including ownership of full-cycle Accounts PayableExperience supporting month-end close, including accruals, journal entries, and account reconciliationsERP system experience (Oracle Fusion strongly preferred)Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially ExcelExperience managing AP aging, vendor issues, and high transaction volume across multiple entitiesStrong hands-on full-cycle AP experience with a sound understanding of AP controlsWorking knowledge of accrual accounting, journal entries, and balance-sheet reconciliationsSolid understanding of PO processes, three-way matching, vendor master controls, and payment controlsStrong communication, organization, analytical, and follow-through skills, with a mindset geared toward improving processes rather than only maintaining themWhy This Role MattersAccurate, well-controlled AP operations are foundational to Caldera Medical's financial integrity and to the trust vendors and internal teams place in Finance.
