About This Role The Clinical Coordinator at Hackensack Meridian Health is responsible for facilitating communication between sending and receiving facilities, utilizing clinical expertise and critical thinking to ensure proper patient transfers. Highlights Location: Neptune, NJ Facility: Hackensack Meridian Health Schedule: Full-time, Day shift What You’ll Do Answer telephones in accordance with established policies and procedures. Utilize professional tone and demeanor in all communication. Coordinate communication between sending and receiving facilities, and within the receiving facility. Accurately record details of all communication related to each transfer request in the electronic health record. Work collaboratively with other members of the health care team. Maintain awareness of bed availability on all patient care units and outpatient departments. Handle a high degree of pressure, heavy workloads, and multiple requests. Diffuse challenging situations and respond appropriately. Collaborate with Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to arrange timely transportation. Obtain insurance information and communicate with insurance providers as needed. Requirements Education RN graduate of an accredited school of nursing Experience At least 2 years of clinical experience in an acute care setting required Critical care and/or emergency nursing experience preferred Transfer center experience preferred BSN preferred Licenses & Certifications Current and valid New Jersey Registered Nurse license is required BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association is required #J-18808-Ljbffr
