Desired Background & Skills:

• Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) licensure for the state (or eligibility)
• Completion of a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
• Experience providing direct therapy and consultation in school environments
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, staff, and parents
• Up-to-date knowledge of IEP processes, AAC devices, and evidence-based intervention strategies
• Familiarity with documentation for Medicaid and compliance with FERPA/IDEA

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments to identify speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders among K-12 students
• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide direct therapy sessions
• Collect and maintain accurate records, progress reports, and assessment data
• Offer consultative support to teachers for classroom accommodations and modifications
• Engage and communicate regularly with families to facilitate carryover of skills at home
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote students’ academic and social success
