Executive Director – Targeting, Optimization, and Measurement Genentech is dedicated to delivering on our promise to improve the lives of patients and create healthier communities. With an inclusive, innovative culture, the Analytics & Insights team drives data‑driven decisions across Commercial, Medical, and Government Affairs. Responsibilities Define, execute, and own the end‑to‑end strategic roadmap for the Targeting, Optimization, and Measurement product portfolio. Manage long‑term investments and resource allocation, collaborating with Suite Leads to balance trade‑offs across the analytics portfolio. Ensure products are scalable and aligned with Roche Digital Technology (RDT) and business objectives. Partner with Customer Engagement, Marketing, and Analytics teams to streamline segmentation, targeting, call planning, field effectiveness, and channel measurement analytics. Integrate machine learning and AI solutions into the analytics product suite with Data Science. Design measurement strategies for campaign effectiveness and marketing ROI in partnership with Marketing and Digital Experience teams. Champion the suite for senior stakeholders, articulating value and fostering innovation and accountability. Lead structured change management and adoption strategies to embed products into business workflows. Establish and track KPIs, efficiency gains, and business impact metrics to validate product performance. Drive cross‑functional alignment across Commercial, Medical, and Access (CMG) regarding evolving business trends and requirements. Maintain governance and compliance with enterprise standards, legal regulations, and policy frameworks. Attract, lead, and mentor a high‑performing team, promoting engagement, career growth, and performance excellence. Minimum Candidate Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative, scientific, engineering, or technical discipline (advanced degree preferred). 15+ years of customer or product‑focused experience with a strong emphasis on targeting, segmentation, next‑best‑action, operational efficiency, performance tracking, and/or business optimization. Minimum 6+ years in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or digital health space. Proven full product lifecycle ownership: visioning, roadmap creation, execution, and impact measurement. Expertise in designing user‑centric experiences for customer satisfaction. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross‑functional facilitation skills. Track record of building and scaling analytics platforms or products at enterprise level. Deep expertise in field analytics (e.g., targeting and call planning optimization, next‑best‑action, sizing, field effectiveness analysis). Experience in marketing ROI measurement and optimization (e.g., marketing mix modeling, channel mix optimization). Bonus: media and digital analytics experience. Strong change‑management and user‑adoption experience. Experience working with data science, machine learning, and AI teams. Experience in a DevOps agile setting or mentorship of agile practices. Strong leadership and coaching experience with diverse talent. Location South San Francisco, CA (relocation assistance available). Compensation Expected salary range: $227,500 – $422,500 USD annually. Total compensation may include discretionary annual bonus and benefits in accordance with company policies.
