Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, considering the interplay between mental and physical health conditions to inform treatment strategies.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based interventions tailored to the unique needs and goals of each client.

• Provide crisis intervention and emergency support during mental health crises, ensuring patient safety and effective resolution strategies.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation, adhering to all legal and ethical standards of practice.

• Participate in collaborative team meetings, case reviews, and interdisciplinary care planning to continuously improve clinical practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on individuals facing mental health challenges exacerbated by co-occurring physical health conditions, such as autoimmune disorders, chronic pain issues, and substance use disorders. Your role will center around facilitating growth, resilience, and self-management within this diverse patient population.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure in New York State as an LMHC, LCSW, LCSW-R, Licensed Psychoanalyst, Psychologist, or LMFT.
\n
• Demonstrated experience in addressing the mental health needs of individuals with complex and co-occurring medical conditions.
\n
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on building rapport and trust with patients and team members alike.
\n
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and apply ethical guidelines while ensuring patient confidentiality.

• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and related technology to manage patient information efficiently.

• A collaborative spirit, with the capacity to function effectively as part of a multidisciplinary health team.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience in an integrated health care setting where mental health and primary care services converge is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits\n
