A day in the life: You clock in early at 6:00am and start by opening batch packets and production travelers. With a careful eye, you validate every entry for accuracy, completeness, and legibility, ensuring Good Documentation Practices are followed without exception. Mid-morning, you reconcile an ERP inventory build with physical counts, resolve a discrepancy with Production, and finalize the supporting records. After lunch, you prepare a set of files for an internal audit, scan and archive completed packets, and update a tracker to flag recurring documentation trends. Before 2:30pm, you double-check that all corrections are properly dated and initialed and that records are audit-ready.

Role overview

We’re hiring a detail-obsessed Quality Systems Associate to keep production, inventory, and quality records clean, compliant, and readily retrievable in a fast-paced operation. This on-site role is pivotal to maintaining GDP across documents and supporting ERP transactions so the shop floor and the quality team always have a single source of truth.

Position details

• Employment type: Temp to Hire – Full-Time, On-Site
• Reports to: VP of Quality and Regulatory
• Location: North Hollywood, CA (Los Angeles County)
• Pay: $20.00–24.00 per hour
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm

What you’ll handle

• Audit production, batch, and quality paperwork for GDP compliance: accuracy, completeness, legibility.
• Spot and route errors, omissions, or inconsistencies for correction before final approval.
• Confirm entries are dated, initialed, and free of unauthorized changes.
• Execute and reconcile ERP inventory builds and transactions, ensuring records match physical counts and supporting docs.
• Maintain organized, traceable files (physical and electronic) for quality and inventory records.
• File, scan, and archive records per retention procedures.
• Support audits and inspections by locating and preparing requested documentation.
• Flag recurring documentation trends for corrective action.
• Update and maintain logs, forms, and templates used across teams.
• Partner with Production, Inventory, and Quality to resolve discrepancies.
• Protect the confidentiality and integrity of all quality records.
• Pitch in with additional quality systems, inventory, or administrative tasks as needed.

About you

Ideal mindset: You’re meticulous, methodical, and relentless about getting documentation right the first time. You don’t skim; you verify.

Minimum qualifications

• 1–3 years in quality, document control, inventory, or manufacturing support.
• Working knowledge of Good Documentation Practices and regulatory recordkeeping principles.
• Experience with an ERP or similar production/inventory system.
• Exceptional attention to detail; able to sustain focus on repetitive review work.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and standard filing systems.
• Strong organization and multitasking skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred background

• Experience in cGMP/GDP or regulated consumer products (cosmetics, supplements, food, pharma, etc.).
• Audit support experience (internal or external).
• Hands-on work with inventory builds, bills of materials, or production documentation in an ERP.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.

Work environment and physical expectations

• Sit or stand for extended periods while reviewing documents.
• Move between office, warehouse, and production areas.
• Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
