Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Location

Orangeburg, SC

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Monitor and interpret telemetry, including identification and management of cardiac dysrhythmias
• Operate bedside monitoring equipment capable of telemetry, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed to meet facility staffing needs
• Collaborate with a 24/7 house supervisor and unit leadership available during all shifts

Required Qualifications

• Active South Carolina RN license or a Compact RN license must be in hand prior to start date
• Minimum of 2 years of Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry nursing experience
• Demonstrated experience with telemetry interpretation and dysrhythmia recognition
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health records charting system

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a community hospital setting
• Familiarity with newly developed or expanding inpatient units
