SAP SuccessFactors UK Payroll Consultant

Role Description

Our client is introducing a new payroll software solution and is looking for a UK Payroll professional to join the Product Management team, providing deep functional expertise on UK payroll processing and statutory compliance to support the design, development, and testing of the new solution.

• Define and document UK payroll business requirements and statutory compliance requirements.
• Provide payroll expertise and functional guidance to development teams, including creation of payroll scenarios and calculation examples.
• Support the design, review, and validation of payroll functionality to ensure legislative compliance and business accuracy.
• Execute and coordinate functional and integration testing for payroll developments and legal changes.
• Support product delivery activities for UK payroll solutions, including cloud payroll and on-premise payroll offerings.
• Contribute to regulatory and year-end payroll deliverables (e.g., P60 requirements, FPS-related developments, and associated testing).
• Act as liaison between business experts, product management, and development teams to ensure accurate implementation of UK payroll requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in UK Payroll.
• In-depth, end-to-end business knowledge of UK Payroll Processing.
• Ability to manually calculate all UK statutory deductions, including but not limited to:
  • Tax
  • National Insurance (NI)
  • Court Orders
  • Student Loans
  • Pensions / PAE
• Experience writing functional specifications used as a basis for software delivery.
• Ability to engage with engineering teams to discuss requirements and validate solutions through testing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with international teams in a virtual environment.

Requirements

• Experience Level: Principal Consultant level (6+ years enterprise payroll software experience).
• Work Delivery Location: Remote.
• Project Language: English.
