We are seeking a Senior Accountant for a long term contract opportunity in San Francisco, CA. This role supports a multi-entity accounting environment and is ideal for someone with experience in month-end close, payroll accounting, reconciliations, and audit support.

Responsibilities:

• Support monthly close activities including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting

• Prepare payroll-related entries and provide backup support for payroll processing

• Reconcile bank accounts, record investment activity, and support general ledger accounting

• Assist with accounts payable, employee expense activity, and purchasing transactions

• Prepare audit schedules, maintain supporting documentation, and respond to auditor requests

• Record intercompany activity and support consolidation and elimination entries across multiple entities

• Support accounting operations tied to real estate portfolios, development projects, and fund accounting

• Assist with payroll accounting processes and ongoing system integration efforts

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong month-end close responsibilities

• Hands-on experience with Yardi is required

• Strong background in payroll accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations

• Experience with general ledger accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, and bank reconciliations

• Ability to investigate variances and maintain accurate financial records in a fast-paced environment

• Experience supporting multi-entity, property management, or real estate accounting environments preferred

• Understanding of intercompany accounting, elimination entries, and audit support processes
