Sales Manager - Municipal Water

Sales ManagerLos Angeles, CAA manufacturer of valves serving the municipal water and wastewater market is seeking a motivated Regional Sales Manager to drive sales growth and increase market share within an assigned West Coast territory. This role owns regional sales strategy execution and manages a network of independent manufacturer’s representative firms, working closely with consulting engineers, municipal end users, internal application engineering, and inside sales to influence specifications, develop project opportunities, and deliver profitable growth aligned with company pricing and margin objectives. This position reports to the National Sales Manager.ScheduleFull time, based in Los Angeles, California, with extensive travel required (approximately 50%) throughout the West Coast territory.Compensation$115,000 to $125,000 per year, plus a 20% bonus.What You’ll DoThis role owns and executes the regional sales strategy to achieve revenue, market share, and gross margin objectives, managing, coaching, and developing a network of manufacturer’s representative firms, including setting expectations, tracking performance, and providing ongoing training and support. The Sales Manager influences project and master specifications by calling on consulting engineering firms, municipalities, and utilities, and leads product presentations, lunch and learns, and technical training sessions for engineers, reps, and end users. This person provides front line application engineering and product selection support in coordination with internal engineering resources, identifies and manages sales opportunities from specification through award, and collaborates with inside sales on competitive project quotations aligned with regional pricing and margin targets.This role also maintains accurate opportunity management, forecasts, and activity tracking in Salesforce, develops strong relationships with regional stakeholders including engineers, municipal decision makers, contractors, and distributors, and monitors competitive activity and market trends to provide actionable feedback to management.
