IT Team Lead (Professional Project Manager)

Position Summary

Seeking a senior-level IT Team Lead (Professional Project Manager) to lead the technology team and serve as a key technical partner to executive leadership. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for technology strategy, developer management, ERP modernization, cloud infrastructure, data analytics, and AI-driven business transformation in a bilingual (Korean-English) corporate environment.

The role will translate business objectives into technical execution plans supporting Sales, Supply Chain, Accounting, and Operations while serving as a bridge between executive leadership and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Strategy & Leadership

• Define technology vision and multi-year roadmap aligned with business goals.

• Recommend technology investments and priorities.

• Establish architecture, security, data, and engineering standards.

• Lead platform selection and build-vs-buy decisions.

• Report technology strategy, progress, risks, and ROI to leadership.

Executive Partnership & Bilingual Communication

• Serve as the primary technology liaison for Korean executive leadership.

• Communicate technology strategy, project status, risks, and business impact in both Korean and English.

• Translate technical concepts into business language and business requirements into technical direction.

• Act as a bridge between Korean and American business operations.

Developer Management & Engineering

• Manage, mentor, and develop software engineering teams.

• Establish engineering best practices, including code reviews, architecture reviews, testing, documentation, and release management.

• Provide hands-on technical leadership and architectural guidance.

• Support hiring, performance management, and career development.

Project & Portfolio Management

• Manage the technology project portfolio across multiple business functions.

• Prioritize initiatives, allocate resources, and mitigate project risks.

• Lead Agile project management processes and sprint planning.

• Maintain project timelines, dependencies, and status reporting.

• Manage third-party vendors, contractors, and SaaS providers.

Business Growth & Digital Transformation

• Deliver technology initiatives that support revenue growth and operational efficiency.

• Automate and digitize business processes.

• Evaluate emerging technologies and develop business cases for implementation.

ERP, Cloud & Data Infrastructure

• Lead ERP modernization, integration, upgrades, and migration projects.

• Manage cloud infrastructure strategy, scalability, security, and cost optimization.

• Build and enhance data warehousing, BI, reporting, and analytics capabilities.

AI Enablement & Governance

• Develop company-wide AI adoption strategies and governance frameworks.

• Promote AI tools and automation solutions across business functions.

• Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and responsible AI practices.

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• 5+ years of progressive technology experience.

• 3+ years managing software engineers or technical teams.

• Strong software architecture and system design experience.

• Hands-on experience with ERP or core business system modernization and migration projects.

• Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred; AWS or Azure acceptable).

• Experience with modern data and BI infrastructure.

• Strong project and portfolio management skills.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

• Bilingual Korean and English proficiency (verbal and written).

Preferred

• Experience in steel, manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or supply chain industries.

• Familiarity with BigQuery, Dataform, Looker Studio, and modern analytics platforms.

• Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD), CQRS, and Strangler Fig modernization patterns.

• Experience developing AI strategy and governance frameworks.

• Experience managing technology vendors and offshore/onshore development teams.

• Relevant certifications such as PMP, GCP, or AWS certifications.
