About the Role CoVar is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join our growing team. This position plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy of customer billing, charge approvals, and financial processes while supporting the day-to-day operations of our Accounting department. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and efficiency are essential. Responsibilities Manage the end-to-end customer charge submission and approval process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company procedures. Review, process, and facilitate customer charge code approvals while researching and resolving discrepancies. Work closely with the Accounting, Sales, and Operations teams to reconcile billing information and maintain financial accuracy. Assist with customer invoicing, documentation, and accounting-related administrative tasks. Maintain accurate financial records and ensure supporting documentation is complete and organized. Support month-end accounting activities and other departmental projects as assigned. Identify opportunities to improve workflows and contribute to process improvement initiatives. Provide general administrative and operational support to help ensure efficient daily business operations. Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred (or equivalent professional experience). Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, accounts receivable, billing, or office administration is preferred. Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience in transportation, logistics, or brokerage is a plus, but not required. Competitive salary based on experience. Monthly performance bonus based on both company and individual performance.
