Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make a meaningful impact this year by supporting a student’s occupational therapy needs in a contract position serving a young male in a residential hospital environment. This opportunity is based near Winchester, NH, and is associated with ESY (Extended School Year) services. The assignment offers the potential to continue into the 26/27 academic year. You’ll provide 1:1 OT support at a residential hospital in Hampstead, NH, working closely with hospital personnel to deliver individualized care.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold a valid and active OT license for the state of New Hampshire
- Previous experience working as an OT in a school or pediatric setting is highly valued
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary hospital teams
- Experience supporting students new to occupational therapy services is a plus
- Strong adaptability as session times and student needs will evolve
- Organizational skills to coordinate scheduling and documentation efficiently
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized occupational therapy services to a student on a 1:1 basis
- Initiate with shorter sessions and gradually increase as student acclimates
- Work flexibly on Mondays and Fridays between 8:15 and 3:00 PM, coordinating schedules with the hospital staff
- Design and implement student-centered therapy goals to enhance participation and independence
- Regularly monitor, document, and communicate progress to all stakeholders
