Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – Part-TimeCedarcrest is seeking a compassionate, collaborative, and clinically skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our interdisciplinary team on a part-time basis. This Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) role has a strong focus on complex feeding needs and Passy-Muir Valve (PMV) programming, while also providing comprehensive speech and language services to children and young adults in residential and day school settings.The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will play a key role in supporting feeding safety, communication development, and respiratory-communication coordination. This position works closely with nursing, respiratory therapy, dietary, occupational therapy, physical therapy, education staff, and families to ensure coordinated, person-centered care.If you are a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) who enjoys working with medically complex pediatric populations and values a highly collaborative environment, we encourage you to apply.Key ResponsibilitiesClinical ServicesConduct comprehensive speech, language, and feeding evaluations upon physician referralAssess oral motor skills and develop therapeutic meal protocols in collaboration with the interdisciplinary teamPlan and implement individualized treatment programs with measurable goals and progress trackingDevelop oral motor and feeding programs that can be implemented by education staff, nursing staff, and familiesAssess receptive and expressive language skillsEvaluate and support alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) needs and assist in adaptive equipment recommendationsAssess appropriateness for Passy-Muir Valve (PMV) use in collaboration with respiratory therapy and pulmonology teamsImplement and monitor PMV programs and adjust progression as appropriateSupport transition and discharge planningConsultation & TrainingProvide consultation and ongoing support to families, classroom staff, and nursing staffTrain staff and families on dysphagia management, therapeutic meal plans, oral motor stimulation, PMV use, AAC devices, hearing aids, and assistive technologyMonitor feeding and communication equipment needs and coordinate updates as neededProvide in-service education within Cedarcrest programsDocumentation & Team ParticipationMaintain accurate documentation for medical, educational, and billing purposesParticipate in IEP development and Total Plan of Care meetingsAttend resident care meetings, team meetings, and department meetingsTravel regionally for outreach services as assignedQualificationsGraduate of an accredited Speech Language Pathology program.Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in the State of New Hampshire.ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) required.Minimum of two years of pediatric experience preferred.Experience with complex feeding disorders and Passy-Muir Valves strongly preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
