Join a dedicated healthcare team in a regional medical office serving the heart of the Midwest. This full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) role supports physicians and mid-level providers in delivering exceptional patient care within an ENT specialty clinic.

General Summary

The LPN assists with patient assessments, treatments, testing, and education. This position requires strong organizational skills, professionalism, excellent customer service, attention to detail, multitasking ability, critical thinking, and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Adhere to clinic policies ensuring patient safety, including infection prevention and safe patient handling.
• Administer medications as ordered (oral, IM, SC).
• Assist providers during procedures, maintain sterile fields, and manage instrument trays.
• Support examinations within the scope of licensure.
• Perform phone triage and act as a liaison between providers and patients.
• Communicate test results and assist with return calls.
• Document patient complaints and visit details accurately.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and obtain vital signs and measurements.
• Update medication and patient summary lists as directed.
• Conduct point-of-care lab testing and collect specimens.
• Educate patients on electronic health record tools and provide supportive teaching.
• Schedule diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including precertifications and authorizations.
• Train LPNs and Medical Assistants in clinic roles.
• Demonstrate accountability, teamwork, adaptability, and maintain punctuality.

Education

Graduate of an accredited LPN program and completion of an approved IV therapy course.

Experience

Previous nursing or healthcare experience is preferred but not required.

Certification/License

Current LPN license valid in the state of Missouri and American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Mental/Physical Requirements

Requires considerable mental focus, ability to lift up to 35 lbs., and perform activities such as standing, walking, turning, carrying, pushing, pulling, stooping, crouching, twisting, and reaching.

Working Conditions

Frequent exposure to infectious and communicable diseases, occasional encounters with hostile individuals, and minimal physical discomfort.
