Work Environment

This position entails onsite work in the patients' homes, offering a unique opportunity to build rapport and trust with clients in their own environments. We provide you with the flexibility to create your own schedule within the hours of 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. This structured yet adaptable framework allows you to maintain a healthy work-life balance while meeting patient needs efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical capabilities and limitations to devise effective treatment strategies.
• Design individualized treatment plans employing various therapeutic techniques, including exercise regimens, manual therapy, and the use of therapeutic equipment.
• Regularly document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary to ensure the best outcomes.
• Guide patients and their families in the use of adaptive equipment and self-care techniques to promote independence.
• Educate clients and caregivers on implementation of treatment plans at home, fostering adherence to therapy goals.
• Stay abreast of industry advancements by engaging in continuous education and professional development opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a diverse population ranging from pediatric patients to elderly individuals, each dealing with various physical challenges. Whether helping a child recover from a sports injury or assisting an elderly client regain mobility after surgery, your role will be crucial in facilitating their path to recovery and improved function.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Valid state license to practice physical therapy in Virginia.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective patient interaction and documentation.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems for documentation and tracking patient progress.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of clinical experience as a practicing physical therapist is required, we welcome applicants from all backgrounds, including recent graduates eager to develop their skills in a supportive environment. Those with a history of working in home health or with varied patient demographics will be particularly well-suited for this role.

Compensation and Benefits
