About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Pediatric ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a high acuity hospital; strong Pediatric ICU experience and at least 1 year of CV experience required. License: RN license required Certifications: AHA BLS and PALS required Must-Have: EPIC experience required; candidate must pass a telemetry test prior to starting. Description: This position involves working evening and night shifts. The schedule includes Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays required. Candidates with 3 years of experience in a high acuity hospital will be considered, as well as those with strong level II experience. Strong Pediatric ICU experience and at least 1 year of CV experience is required. EPIC experience is necessary, along with current RN licensure. AHA BLS and PALS certifications are mandatory. Travelers must pass a telemetry test prior to beginning work. Patient age groups include neonates, infants, adolescents, and pediatrics. Daily census is approximately 18. The unit provides care for critically ill or injured children and their families. The patient population includes those with cardiac anomalies, acute head injuries, critical neurological disorders, pulmonary diseases, and multi-system organ failure. Interdisciplinary support is available for various needs. Staffing requires the ability to float to different areas as needed. Candidates should possess strong skills in various critical care procedures and be prepared to deal with high-acuity situations.
