Managing Director | Business Valuation

Location: Tampa, Florida

The Opportunity

An established valuation firm is looking to appoint a Managing Director to build and lead its new Tampa office. This is an entrepreneurial opportunity for an experienced valuation professional who can leverage an established network, generate new business, and build a profitable practice.

The successful candidate will take ownership of the office's growth, from winning new clients and developing referral relationships to recruiting a team and establishing the firm's presence across Florida.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the launch and growth of the firm's Tampa office, with responsibility for revenue, profitability, and long-term strategy.

• Leverage an established book of business and professional network to generate new valuation engagements.
\n
• Develop and maintain relationships with attorneys, private equity firms, investment bankers, business owners, and corporate clients.
\n
• Identify and convert new business opportunities across business valuation, litigation support, financial reporting, and transaction-related engagements.
\n
• Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team of valuation professionals.
\n
• Oversee complex valuation engagements, maintaining high standards of technical quality and client service.
\n
• Collaborate with firm leadership to support wider business development and expansion initiatives.

Candidate Requirements

• Significant experience in business valuation within a valuation firm, accounting firm, or professional services environment.
\n
• A demonstrable track record of business development and revenue generation.
\n
• An established book of business and strong referral relationships across Tampa or the wider Florida market.
\n
• Experience independently winning engagements and developing long-term client relationships.
\n
• Previous experience leading teams, managing client engagements, and driving commercial performance.
\n
• Relevant credentials such as ASA, ABV, CPA, or CFA preferred.
