Managing Director of the Mid-Atlantic Territory

Position Summary The Managing Director of the Mid-Atlantic territory is a strategic leader that drives Scientific Games’ success with a specific lottery jurisdiction, holding full P&L accountability across all product lines—including Instant, Systems, Digital, Licensing, and Retail products—and owning the relationship end-to-end within the lottery. The leader understands customer journeys across retail, digital, and omnichannel and delivers strategies that maximize top‑line growth, profitability, and customer‑lifetime value and retention. Acting as the primary point of contact for the customer, the Account Owner builds strong executive relationships, delivers tailored, consultative solutions, and ensures alignment between SG’s offerings and the lottery’s goals. Internally, this role collaborates across functional teams to ensure seamless execution and project delivery. The position is located remotely in Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, or Delaware. Key Responsibilities P&L accountability for the Mid‑Atlantic jurisdiction across all SG product lines (Instant, Licensing, Systems, Retail, Digital). Develop and maintain short‑ and long‑term strategic account plans focused on growth and profitability. Lead regular business reviews, check‑ins, and strategic meetings with account team and customers. Drive jurisdiction‑specific growth strategies across all verticals with a holistic, omnichannel approach. Shape and execute RFP strategies, including pre‑planning, win strategies, and internal alignment. Act as the primary point of contact for all SG product lines, building and maintaining strong, trust‑based relationships with executive and key lottery stakeholders. Manage customer satisfaction through proactive communication and issue resolution. Understand customer challenges and align SG products to exceed lottery business goals; identify and qualify opportunities for new, cross‑sell, and upsell solutions. Deliver consultative, value‑based proposals and tailored solutions. Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting to deal negotiation to contract signature. Coordinate with internal teams—sales, strategy, operations, communications, finance, legal, HR—and bring in subject‑matter experts as needed to support customer goals. Verify and audit sales projections and monthly forecasts; provide data‑driven insights and recommendations to customers. Lead development of business cases with financial justifications and ROI. Eligibility & Qualifications A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a relevant field (iGaming/iLottery ideal). A minimum of 10 years’ experience managing and owning large customer operations focused on driving revenue growth and profitability through effective operations and strategic management. Experience selling SaaS products and digital technology solutions. Experience managing accounts to advance product and marketing plans. College degree; MBA a plus. Skills & Abilities Self‑motivated, organized, and results‑oriented. Strong negotiation skills and the ability to turn a no into a yes; persistence in influencing customers. Ability to navigate and lead difficult customer conversations while maintaining best interest for both customer and SG. Ability to operate with a senior‑level mindset, strategic yet hands‑on. Effective communication at all levels internally and externally; ability to deliver dynamic presentations showcasing value. Financial acumen—understanding the financial picture of any deal and closing deals to achieve company goals while ensuring customer satisfaction. Project, product, marketing, and/or operations experience. Strong organizational and time‑management skills; ability to work independently. Tech savvy within the digital content space; proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience drafting proposals and presenting to clients/colleagues.
