Kitchen Supervisor

Position BOH Supervisor – Full Time, FSLA Status: Non‑Exempt, Location: Flight Club DC, Washington, DC 20001, Salary: $25–$27 per hour Position Purpose The function of a supervisor is to assist management in maintaining the venue atmosphere to company standards while learning to manage the venue as a master of ceremonies. Supervisors orchestrate entry‑level management tasks in a controlled space and participate in a six‑month training program, guided by experienced managers. Responsibilities Listen to customers: follow proper service standards timely and efficiently. Respect company resources: execute all tasks on the daily, weekly, and monthly accruing list under supervision; follow health and safety guidelines and report hazards. Show urgency: understand the importance of orchestrating work rather than performing it directly. Create positive energy: build rapport with all team members and management. Be an independent team player: comply with the company’s rules and reasonable requests from management during a shift. Cannot: close the kitchen without FOH manager on shift; handle cash or be in the safe; administer office time; be left alone on shift without a salary manager; discipline any team members without FOH Manager or Chef. Team Member Profile Team‑work driven and cohesive Detail oriented with strong organizational skills Energetic and positive—maintain high energy throughout service Professional appearance Ability to multitask in a high‑volume environment Desire to elevate, educate, and develop through training Qualifications and Minimum Requirements Current food handlers and alcohol certification, maintained through employment. Endorsed by the Executive Chef after a minimum of six months. Certified trainer position in current location. Available to work various shift times including weekends and holidays. Able to stand or walk for long periods and lift over 50 lbs. if necessary. Authorized to legally work in the US. Pass exams with 90% or better in Food and Beverage and all issued training tests during employment. Compensation & Benefits Hourly pay of $25–$27 per hour, based on experience. Enrollment in Medical, Dental, Vision and other insurance benefits for full‑time status. Paid Time Off, Sick Time, and Paid Holiday (may vary by state and local laws). Enroll in 401(k), Medical FSA, commuter benefits, etc. Employee discount: 50% of total bill for employee and up to five guests.
