Work Environment

As part of our team, you will work in a supportive and well-equipped rehabilitation facility in Arlington, Virginia. Our office is designed to facilitate both individual and group therapies, ensuring patients receive personalized treatment plans. The workspace promotes collaboration among healthcare professionals, allowing for effective communication and enhanced patient care. You will work alongside two experienced physical therapists and a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), ensuring comprehensive treatment strategies for all clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform thorough evaluations to understand each patient's specific needs, goals, and impairments.
• Manage a caseload of one patient per hour, allowing for focused, personalized treatment.
• Develop customized care plans that incorporate evidence-based interventions and various treatment modalities.
• Implement hands-on manual therapy techniques and exercise prescriptions to improve patients' musculoskeletal health.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment processes, self-management techniques, and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment outcomes meticulously to track progress and ensure continuity of care.
• Regularly review and adjust treatment plans based on patients' progress, feedback, and emerging needs.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient management and referral for additional services when necessary.
• Promote a positive and motivating environment to inspire patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice primarily serves patients with orthopedic conditions related to sports injuries, post-operative rehabilitation, and chronic pain management. We have a diverse patient base ranging from active athletes looking to enhance performance to older adults seeking to regain mobility and independence. We focus on tailored, individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each patient, ensuring effective rehabilitation pathways.

Qualifications

• Possess a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• Hold a valid Physical Therapist license to practice in Virginia, free of any disciplinary actions.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of manual therapy techniques and exercise protocols.
• Have familiarity with WebPT EMR Software for efficient patient documentation and workflow management.
• Exhibit strong interpersonal skills for clear communication with patients and collaboration with team members.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience working in an orthopedic outpatient clinic environment is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to treat a wide range of orthopedic conditions through innovative therapeutic techniques.
• Experience in developing and implementing comprehensive wellness programs will be considered an asset.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this full-time role is USD $80,000 – $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
