Corners Outreach equips students and families to break the cycle of poverty through education, economic mobility, and community. Founded in 2012, Corners has grown from a small after‑school tutoring initiative into a comprehensive two‑generation model serving families across Gwinnett and DeKalb Counties through Early Learning, K–12 academic support, Workforce Development, and wraparound family services. Corners now operates from a central Community Center in Norcross and serves more than 1,500 families annually across Gwinnett and DeKalb counties. In this role, you will manage day‑to‑day financial transactions, perform monthly account reconciliations, and maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Online. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of accounting principles and can turn raw financial data into clear reports to support business decisions. You will be part of a team. Key Responsibilities QuickBooks Management: Maintain the chart of accounts, categorize transactions, and oversee daily bookkeeping entries in QuickBooks for two entities which consolidate into one reporting entity. Reconciliation: Perform detailed account analysis and account reconciliation to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly. Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations. Prepare account reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts including fixed assets, inventory, intercompany and all liability accounts. Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports. General Ledger: Manage general ledger functions, month‑end and year‑end close processes, and journal entries. Review coding of accounting transactions to ensure proper reporting and presentation. Accounts Payable & Receivable (AP/AR): Oversee invoicing, collections, bill payments via check, online and ACH, in addition to overseeing customer and vendor relations. Monitor A/P and A/R agings and follow up on issues. Manage the sales tax filing process. Payroll & Tax Support: Onboard new employees and contractors, complete payroll processing for multiple pay periods, and provide HR support. Compliance: Ensure all financial records follow Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies. Work with Grant Support Team in properly accounting for restricted gifts and grant awards inclusive of related expenditures for grants and federal funding received. Prepare documents for external auditors and tax accountants for annual audit and 990 preparations. Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 4–8 years of professional accounting or corporate bookkeeping experience. Non‑profit with federal grant management a plus. Software Proficiency: Advanced, hands‑on working knowledge of QuickBooks (QuickBooks Online certification is a strong plus). Knowledge of Spreadsheet and ADP a plus. Microsoft Office Suite Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (ability to use formulas, VLOOKUPs and pivot tables). Proficiency in Word and PowerPoint. Accounting Knowledge: Solid understanding of GAAP, core accounting principles, and double‑entry bookkeeping. Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy, strong analytical mindset, and exceptional organizational and time‑management skills. Communication: Clear written and verbal communication skills and strong listening skills to collaborate with team members, management, and clients. Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information. Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
