L&W Recruiting is partnering with a well-established defense litigation firm to fill an Insurance Defense Attorney opening at their Lancaster, PA office. This is a confidential search.

The Work

You'll handle a focused defense docket covering matters across Central Pennsylvania. The practice spans transportation and trucking defense, premises liability, product liability, and professional liability — with a healthy mix of straightforward and complex matters. You'll have the resources to do your job well and the autonomy to run your cases your way.

Day to Day

Managing a docket of insurance defense matters independently from case intake through resolution.

Drafting motions, briefs, discovery, and pleadings with attention to quality and precision.

Taking and defending depositions across a range of case types.

Litigating in Pennsylvania state courts and appearing for hearings, motions, and trials.

Building and maintaining direct relationships with carrier clients and claims teams.

What We're Looking For

2–6+ years of insurance defense or civil defense litigation experience.

Active Pennsylvania bar license.

Solid motion practice, deposition experience, and comfort in the courtroom.

Someone who can manage their own matters and communicate clearly with clients.

Bonus: New Jersey bar or experience with multi-jurisdictional matters.
