Billing Specialist

Sober Partners is a leading addiction treatment center located in Newport Beach, CA. We are dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to those struggling with substance abuse and addiction. We are currently seeking a highly organized and detail‑oriented Billing Specialist to join our team. As a Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the billing process for our clients. This includes accurately entering and processing billing information, verifying insurance coverage, and ensuring timely and accurate submission of claims. You will also be responsible for following up on outstanding balances, resolving billing disputes, and maintaining detailed records of all billing activities. The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong understanding of insurance billing processes, including knowledge of different insurance plans and their coverage policies. They should also have excellent communication and customer service skills, as they will be interacting with clients and insurance providers on a regular basis. Responsibilities Accurately enter and process billing information for all clients Verify insurance coverage and obtain authorizations as needed Submit claims to insurance providers in a timely and accurate manner Follow up on outstanding balances and resolve billing disputes Maintain detailed and organized records of all billing activities Communicate with clients and insurance providers to ensure timely and accurate payment Stay up-to-date on insurance billing policies and procedures Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient and effective billing processes Assist with other administrative tasks as needed Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing or related field Knowledge of insurance billing processes and policies Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and customer service skills Proficient in Microsoft Office and billing software Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively Team player with a positive attitude We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, including health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development.
