Payroll Specialist
The Payroll Specialist provides part-time support for payroll operations, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time across weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payroll cycles. This role assists with payroll processing, timecard corrections, payroll tax compliance, and related projects while maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented payroll professional seeking a flexible schedule of approximately 2030 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with processing weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payrolls
- Review and correct timecard discrepancies and payroll data issues
- Research and resolve payroll tax filing and compliance matters
- Support state reporting requirements and payroll-related audits
- Perform payroll data maintenance, corrections, and system updates
- Assist with benefits-related payroll projects and reporting as needed
- Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
- Collaborate with HR, Accounting, and management to resolve payroll-related inquiries
Requirements
- Experience processing payroll using ADP Workforce Now or similar payroll systems
- Accounting or payroll administration background required
- Knowledge of payroll tax regulations and compliance requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and timekeeping systems
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
