Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Make an impact as an Elementary Resource Special Education Teacher, supporting students' growth and development in an engaging learning environment. Step into a dynamic contract position dedicated to fostering individual achievement and academic success. This onsite role begins in late August and extends through early June, with a consistent weekday schedule designed for work-life balance.
Key Qualifications:
- Current Minnesota teaching certification (Tier 3 or Tier 4 required)
- Experience working in special education, preferably in an elementary school setting
- Strong understanding of resource room models and individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, support staff, and families
- Passion for student-centered instruction and creative problem solving
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and academic support to elementary resource students
- Develop, implement, and modify IEPs based on student needs and district guidelines
- Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies for optimal outcomes
- Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive practices
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and progress reports
- Participate actively in team meetings, IEP conferences, and ongoing professional development
- Foster a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
