Job Summary: Join a compassionate healthcare team dedicated to supporting patient care management in a clinical setting. This role involves adapting daily responsibilities to meet the evolving needs of the practice, ensuring patients receive attentive and professional care. Essential Responsibilities:
Work Shift: Day shift, full-time (40 hours per week). This opportunity is located in a regional healthcare setting within the Midwest United States, offering a supportive environment for professional growth and patient-centered care.
- Provide direct and delegated patient care, recognizing normal and abnormal health indicators to identify at-risk clients. Deliver care aligned with established standards and guidelines.
- Respond promptly to telephone inquiries, triaging calls appropriately while offering reassurance, clear education, and guidance to patients.
- Facilitate smooth healthcare delivery throughout patient visits by preparing patients for examinations, obtaining vital signs and medical histories, and accurately documenting findings in electronic medical records.
- Observe and communicate any abnormal patient signs to physicians, ensuring thorough documentation and patient understanding of discharge instructions.
- Support physicians during testing, treatment procedures, minor surgeries, and physical exams, including applying splints, dressings, and managing sample medications.
- Coordinate patient testing, admissions, referrals, and follow-up on test results, ensuring patients are well-informed.
- Assist with patient education, medication instructions, and maintain laboratory logs as required.
- Maintain clinical areas by stocking supplies, organizing patient education materials, ensuring cleanliness, and sterilizing instruments and equipment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, adapting to the dynamic needs of the healthcare environment.
- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Program is essential.
