Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients to assess the severity and frequency of mood disorder symptoms.

• Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans that reflect their unique needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate effective treatment.

• Educate clients and their families on the nature of mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies to enhance overall well-being.

• Monitor and document client progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.

• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.

• Stay informed of the latest research and best practices in mood disorder treatment to continuously improve therapeutic approaches.

• Maintain strict confidentiality and compliance with legal and ethical standards in all documentation and interactions.

• Engage in professional development by participating in case discussions, training sessions, and workshops.

• Advocate for clients' needs, aiming to minimize stigma associated with mental health challenges and promote access to care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily involves working with individuals facing mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. You will provide compassionate support to a wide range of clients, including marginalized groups such as the homeless, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse, empowering them on their journey towards recovery and mental wellness.

Qualifications\n

• Current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
