As a Payroll Administrator, you will perform accounting and clerical tasks related to the accurate and efficient processing of payroll for area employees. Strong mathematical, analytical, and computer skills relevant to a payroll administrator position, with at least one year of recent applicable experience. Qualifications Competencies Proficient in high volume data entry Excellent computer proficiency including MS Office suite and payroll processing software programs Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy of work performed Good communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate via face-to-face, phone, or by other means of communication Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions Ability to process data and organize it for management analysis Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Required Education and Experience High school diploma or the equivalent and two year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Education and Experience Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent; and two year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
