Retiree rates: Level I: $3,463.82; Level II: $3,638.40; Level III: $3,823.44. Job Summary Performs complex agricultural work, producing livestock and agricultural products, and monitoring activities of assigned inmates. Works under general supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Essential Functions Provides technical assistance and oversees livestock care, accountability, and program operations. Assists in producing, processing, and distributing livestock, feed rations, and commodities; aids in breeding and preventive medical treatment. Oversees operation of agricultural machinery; assists in construction, repair, and maintenance of agricultural facilities. Implements training programs; maintains inventory of materials and supplies; prepares records, correspondence, and reports. Maintains security of tools, machinery, and equipment; responds to emergencies; searches for escaped inmates; transports assigned inmates; performs correctional and custodial functions. Performs additional duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications This position is a career ladder role, with consideration given to education and experience.
