Key Responsibilities
- Following Formulations: Strictly adhering to written instructions, recipes, or "batch cards" provided by the research and development (R&D) or quality control (QC) teams.
- Measuring and Weighing: Using scales and other measuring devices to ensure the precise quantity of each raw material is used, which is critical for product consistency and quality.
- Operating Machinery: Running and monitoring various types of industrial equipment such as mixers, blenders, pumps, and tanks to facilitate the mixing process.
- Documentation and Traceability: Maintaining detailed records of the process, including the specific lot numbers and quantities of raw materials used in each batch, which is essential for accountability and regulatory compliance.
Skills and Qualifications
- Attention to Detail: The ability to follow precise instructions and notice small deviations in the process or measurements is paramount.
- Technical Skills: Competency in operating industrial machinery and basic computer skills for logging data.
- Math Skills: Strong basic mathematical skills for scaling recipes and managing inventory.
- Physical Stamina: The role can be physically demanding, involving lifting, moving materials, and standing for long periods.
- Communication: The ability to effectively communicate with managers, quality control teams, and other line operators.
