The PRS works at the bedside in the Emergency Department and inpatient hospital settings to support admissions to detox, provides peer-led individual and group support to reduce AMA discharges, and facilitates linkage to community-based services. The role also includes outreach to community providers to strengthen referral pathways and support program growth.### EducationCertified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) certification or completion of a CCAR Peer Recovery Coach program requiredHigh school diploma or equivalent required### ExperienceMinimum of one (1) year of experience in peer support or working with individuals with SUD required.### Skills* Strong interpersonal, communication, and motivational interviewing skills* Ability to engage patients in a supportive, non-judgmental manner* Knowledge of SUD treatment systems and resources in New Jersey* Excellent organizational and documentation skills* Bilingual proficiency preferred* Driver's License - current and valid driver's license, registration, inspection sticker and appropriate level of insurance coverage required, to include collision.
