Senior Demand Planning Analyst

A growing consumer products organization seeking a Senior Demand Planning Analyst to support forecasting, demand planning, and business analytics initiatives across a diverse portfolio of products. This individual will work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to develop accurate forecasts, identify business trends, and provide actionable insights that support operational and strategic decision-making.

Sr. Demand Planning Analyst Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain demand forecasts across multiple product categories, customers, and planning horizons
• Analyze historical sales performance, seasonality, market trends, and business drivers to improve forecast accuracy
• Monitor forecast performance and investigate variances, identifying risks and opportunities that may impact inventory and service levels
• Build, maintain, and enhance forecasting models using quantitative analysis and business insights
• Conduct product-level analysis to support inventory management, replenishment planning, and overall supply chain performance
• Partner with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to gather inputs and align forecasting assumptions
• Support monthly demand review and planning meetings by providing analytical insights and recommendations
• Collaborate with supply planning and operations teams to ensure alignment between demand forecasts and inventory strategies
• Develop reporting, dashboards, and performance metrics to monitor forecast accuracy and business trends
• Maintain data integrity across forecasting, planning, and reporting systems
• Support new product introductions, product transitions, and other business initiatives through demand analysis and planning support
• Identify opportunities to improve forecasting processes, reporting capabilities, and planning methodologies
• Participate in cross-functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives that support broader business objectives

Sr. Demand Planning Analyst Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, supply chain analytics, business analytics, inventory planning, or a related discipline
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and translate findings into actionable business recommendations
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience working with ERP systems and planning tools
• Strong understanding of forecasting principles, inventory management concepts, and supply chain processes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple business functions
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable with a continuous improvement mindset
• Experience creating reports, dashboards, and business performance analyses preferred
• Exposure to consumer products, manufacturing, distribution, retail, wholesale, or related industries is a plus
