Office Location Chicago Work Schedule This position will be 100% on-site in our Chicago office for the first 90 days. After that, a hybrid schedule may be considered based on practice group needs. Key Responsibilities Assists attorneys in preparing, proofreading, revising and finalizing legal documents Copies, distributes, sends (electronically and/or via mail, courier or express service), files and otherwise handles completed work Maintains confidential information, files, records, legal documents and reports Submits intake and conflict checks, processes time entry and some client billing Maintains attorneys’ calendars, schedules travel, appointments, meetings and conferences Supports attorneys in connection with all aspects of client relationships and business development Other duties as assigned Who Are You? Minimum of 3+ years of secretarial or executive assistant experience, preferably in patent prosecution, but will train the right candidate Knowledge of legal and patent-related terminology a plus Positive attitude, proactive, flexible and a team player Strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Professional Skilled with use of electronic document management systems Possess strong organizational, communication and client services abilities Detail oriented with excellent grammar, spelling and proofreading Ability to prioritize needs based on urgency, multi-task and work in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment Ability to work overtime when needed Contact Jennifer McKinney, Senior Manager, Recruiting & Operations, View email address on click.appcast.io Compensation and Benefits Quarles & Brady offers competitive salaries, bonus and great benefits to employees including paid time off, health, vision, dental, 401k, life, disability and more. Benefit eligibility depends on hours. Compensation is determined based on market, responsibilities, experience, education and skill. The range for Chicago is $30.89/hour to $50.06/hour.
