About the Role
The Company is seeking a Managing Director for Operations with a strong background in legal or law firm practice management. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing matter and financial management, including pitch and proposal activity, budgeting, and compliance with client guidelines. This role also involves operational leadership, serving as the primary liaison between the partner and internal business teams, and leading a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the delivery of exceptional service and the implementation of best practices for workflow optimization. The Managing Director will be expected to interact directly with clients, participate in strategic planning, and drive process improvement through the identification and leveraging of technology platforms. Applicants for the Managing Director position at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' of experience in legal or law firm practice management, with a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. A Juris Doctor (JD) is preferred. The role requires a skilled communicator with superior presentation skills, a principled advisor who can maintain strict confidentiality, and a proactive problem solver with a proven track record of leadership in planning, negotiating, and decision-making.
