An emergency medicine locum tenens opportunity is available in North Adams, Massachusetts for a board-certified or board-eligible physician. This role supports a high-volume emergency department with night shift coverage and occasional floating between nearby facilities.

About the Opportunity:

• Shift: Nights
• Schedule: Weekdays and weekends
• Hours: 12-hour, 8-hour, and 11-hour shifts available; nights TBD 7p-7a, 1p-9p, and 3p-11p
• Setting: Emergency Department

Responsibilities:

• Provide emergency medicine coverage in a fast-paced emergency department
• Float between the main facility and the North Adams satellite emergency facility as needed
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with urgent and emergent conditions
• Coordinate with hospitalist and admitting services for patient admissions
• Supervise paramedic and ambulance radio communications when required

Qualifications:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
• Active Massachusetts medical license
• BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certification
• Clean background suitable for quick credentialing
• Self-query NPDB completed within the past month at time of presentation

Desired Skills:

• Experience in a Level III trauma setting
• Experience with Meditech EMR
• Availability for night shifts
• Local availability in the Massachusetts area
