Senior QA EngineerOur Project Management Office team, within our expansive Technology department, is looking to bring on an experienced QA engineer to help us release high-quality software in a timely manner. A typical day would have you working closely with other Development, offshore team members, and stakeholders to design, write, execute manual test cases, and report on the results in a Microsoft TFS with multiple complex projects.A strong manual tester with SQL experience? If you think you have what it takes, then let us talk.Responsibilities:Creating and executing manual test cases, plans and testsReporting, analyzing, and tracking defectsAssisting with software releasesRunning SQL queries to validate resultsParticipating in a Scrum team, team stand-ups, grooming, planning meetings, and more Agile celebrationsDesigning test scope, approaches, and strategies; creating test plans and cases, as appropriateDesigning or locating test data; ensuring that appropriate tests are executed—both during development and upon deploymentCollaborating with team members to identify areas of high risk and root cause of problems; working closely with team and developers to detect, prioritize, and fix defectsProviding status and risk assessment for managementQualifications:QA experience in support of integrated systems is a mustStrong manual testing with SQL; proficiency with SQL queriesPrior work in an Agile environment; Scrum desiredExperience with automated tools—ideally Selenium or a similar product3-8 years' testing experience in information services/technologyFinancial or regulated SaaS systems experienceExperience in Agile SDLCExperience working in a Microsoft environment; TFS and Visual Studio experience a plusFamiliarity with testing web-based applicationsExperience with source control and bug-tracking systemsStrong written and verbal communication skillsProficient in manual testing; automated testing a plus The CERES Group
