Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough biopsychosocial assessments to determine client needs and develop individualized treatment plans.

• Provide both short-term and long-term psychotherapy to individuals, families, and groups, facilitating therapeutic progress and emotional growth.

• Document client interactions and treatment plans meticulously to comply with clinic and state regulations.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and other therapists to ensure integrated and holistic care for our clients.

• Engage in regular supervision and team case consultations to enhance clinical skills and contribute to collective care strategies.

• Advocate for client needs, connecting them with necessary resources to enhance their support network and promote their well-being.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As an LCSW at Valence Counseling Services, you will serve a diverse population, including individuals from BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and other underserved communities. Our clinic focuses on treating a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and more. With your experience, you can help develop tailored approaches that resonate with each client’s cultural and personal backgrounds, enhancing their therapeutic experience and outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• Active LCSW license in New York State is mandatory.

• A Bachelor’s degree in social work, followed by a Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• At least two years of clinical experience, demonstrating practical application of social work principles.

• Familiarity with evidence-based treatment methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and trauma-informed care strategies.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, showing an ability to connect with clients effectively.

• A commitment to promoting social justice, equity, and inclusivity in mental health care practices.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive compensation package ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package for eligible full-time staff. This includes health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as opportunities for flexible scheduling to support your personal and professional life. Both W-2 and 1099 options for employment are available, depending on your preference.
