MICU Registered Nurse
We are seeking a dedicated MICU Registered Nurse to join our team for a 12-hour night shift. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of critical care experience, with a strong ability to manage adult and geriatric patients. This role involves caring for patients with diagnoses such as oncologic emergencies, COPD, pneumonia, ARDS, GI bleed, neuromuscular diseases, drug overdoses, pulmonary hypertension, autoimmune disorders, and sepsis. The nurse will perform procedures including mechanical ventilation, pulmonary artery catheter placement, CRRT, arterial pressure and cardiac monitoring, chest tubes, central venous catheters, chemotherapy administration, complex medications, clinical trials, and plasmapheresis. Experience with bronchoscopy or endoscopy is also preferred. Certifications required include ACLS, BLS, and NIH. Skills needed encompass vent management, IV starts, computerized charting, and EPIC experience.
