Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility while ensuring that team members can effectively engage with students and staff located within schools in Springfield, Massachusetts. Though interactions may occur virtually, you will participate in regular team meetings and case consultations via our secure telehealth platforms, enabling collaboration and support among multidisciplinary team members, including psychiatrists and psychologists.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct detailed mental health assessments to identify student needs and devise appropriate, individualized treatment plans aimed at achieving therapeutic goals.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic strategies, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, to effectively address the psychological needs of students.

• Facilitate psychoeducational workshops and support groups that encourage peer interaction and foster a sense of belonging among participants.

• Provide timely crisis intervention services for students facing acute mental health challenges, ensuring safety and stability during emergencies.

• Engage in close collaboration with educational staff, parents, and other community resources to promote an inclusive approach to mental health care in the educational environment.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential client records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policies.

• Stay abreast of developments in mental health treatment and participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your therapeutic skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role will primarily focus on school-aged children and adolescents, each facing different mental health hurdles such as anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues. By employing tailored interventions, you will support these young individuals in developing coping mechanisms that can lead to improved academic performance and overall well-being.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as either LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Massachusetts.
\n
• A robust knowledge of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment methodologies, and applicable therapeutic approaches.

• Demonstrated ability to produce comprehensive mental health evaluations and develop effective treatment strategies.
\n
• Experience conducting both individual and group therapy to diverse populations, particularly youth.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients, families, and colleagues.

• Proficient with electronic health record (EHR) systems and comfortable with digital communication and documentation.

• Strong understanding of ethical practice and the ability to maintain professional boundaries.

Preferred Experience\n

While a minimum of two years of clinical experience is required, candidates with experience in school settings or working with children and adolescents in therapeutic capacities will be highly regarded. Experience with specific therapeutic techniques tailored for youth, such as play therapy or trauma-informed care, would also be beneficial.
