Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Current Special Education Teacher certification appropriate for elementary or middle grades
• Previous experience working in a resource or SPED classroom, preferably in grades 5 or 6
• Strong knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Ability to collaborate effectively with general education teachers, staff, and families
• Excellent communication, organizational, and behavior management skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom and supporting diverse learners

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver resource support to 5th and 6th grade students in accordance with their IEPs
• Develop and adapt lesson plans that accommodate individual learning needs
• Monitor and document student progress, making data-driven adjustments as needed
• Collaborate with colleagues to support student success in both academic and behavioral areas
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and strategies for ongoing support
• Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to special education services
