Job Opportunity – Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurse – Wisconsin

Start Date: November 30, 2026

Location: Wisconsin

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Days, 12-hour shifts (0700-1930), weekend rotation (every third weekend) and holiday rotation as required. Patient ratio of 4:1. Two weekend shifts required per 6-week period.

• 28-bed General Surgery unit specializing in complex abdominal surgeries including colorectal, surgical oncology, and emergency general surgeries
• Work at a Magnet-designated facility ranked as Wisconsin's #1 hospital and recognized nationally as a leading teaching institution and referral center
• Epic charting system with 20 hours of orientation provided
• Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, physical therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Care for adult and geriatric patients with high-acuity conditions including ostomies, wound VACs, PCAs, epidurals, feeding tubes, and complex wound care
• Professional development opportunities through continuing education, certifications, and mentorship programs

Requirements:

• Active RN license (Wisconsin or Compact state)
• Minimum 2 years of acute care Medical-Surgical/Telemetry experience within the last 3 years
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• Epic charting system experience required
• Must successfully pass telemetry competency exam prior to start date (strict passing criteria applies)
• Community hospital, LTAC, and trauma center experience preferred
• Proficiency in telemetry interpretation, IV management, central line care, arterial line management, blood product administration, chest tube management, and wound care
• Must reside 50 miles or more from the facility
• Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
