Learn more at -careers.Role OverviewReporting to the Director of Accounting Services, the Project Accountant prepares monthly accounting work for an assigned section of small business clients. The PA also assists our ATMs with tax and backwork projects and performs quality control review of Staff Accountant work. For team members who pursue it, this role offers a natural path to Accounting & Tax Manager. What You'll DoClient Accounting ServicesHelp our team communicate proactively with clients to keep monthly information flowing on schedulePerform monthly bookkeeping and financial statement preparation for assigned clientsPrepare sales tax returns, 1099s, and personal property tax returnsTax and Project SupportAssist with backwork projects for newly onboarded clientsPrepare tax preview engagements for business ownersAssist with business and individual income tax preparation engagementsQuality Control SupportReview financial reports and compliance filings prepared by Staff Accountants before final Accounting & Tax Manager reviewQualifications:Strong foundation in accounting fundamentalsBachelor 's degree in Accounting or a related field1–3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experienceIncome tax preparation experience a plus (UltraTax)Tech-savvy - able to learn new tools quickly.
